Salesmanship
To Sell Cars - You Need To Be Found

Salesmanship starts with being found. If you are in car sales or recreational vehicle sales, in fact any commission sales, and have not yet registered your first and last name as a domain, do it now. For example, if your first name is John and your last name Smith then you would register JohnSmith.com.

If your name is already registered, then try "John-Smith" or "John_Smith", or even "JohnSmithABCMotors". The goal is to make it easy for your prospects to find you. And, as we go forward, you will find many more valuable applications for your personal website. More on that later.

Next create at least a one page introduction of who you are, what you stand for, and how you take care of your customers. One page is all you need to start to be found. If you need assistance, write me. But do create your web-presence. Properly done, it will payoff big time for you!

Why is this sales tactic so vital?

Sales people are not the only ones who do web searches. Buyers, your prospects, also check out who they are purchasing from. A tier one car salesman or used car salespeople are easily found on the web. That's part of their brand.

By-the-way, here's a tip. The sales process does not begin with a prospect. At least that is what most automobile sales training suggests. Wrong! The sales process begins with you being found by a prospect. Having your personal website is essential.

No gimmick. No smoke and mirrors. You must be accessible through the internet. And, two more no's. No, it is not difficult to create a web presence on your own. No, it is not expensive.

Now, here is a huge yes.

Yes, a web presence will result in building your business. If you did not click the link, here it is again. It makes no difference where you live, how large a store you are in, or how long you have been in sales. This sales tactic works!

Once you have registered a domain name, it is time to create at least a one page introduction of who you are, what you stand for, and how you take care of your customers. One page is all you need, for starters. If you need assistance, write me.

Having your own web presence is your doorway to unlimited opportunity. Check out JeffreyDoucet.com for an example of what your page should look like. You don't have to be a graphic designer or website guru to create a good looking web presence for very little investment.

By the way, I created this video. I use it with new prospects and as a general follow-up. If you have interest in something similar, email me. Taking advantage of today's technology is all part of salesmanship.
