Can it be done? You bet. I did it. And I am not a sales guy. My background is logistics and distribution. I liked moving stuff around - air, ground, ocean. Hec, I wanted to be the first to move cargo on the Shuttle. But business had another route for me. My employer invited me to breakfast one day to say "The Company is restructuring." I was not part of the reorganization! That was the start of a new career.

What did I do? I started my own business marketing point-of-sale devices. While building that business, I discovered the earning potential for sales professionals was unmatched.

Why Me

So what. Why listen to me? I'm glad you asked.

I'm going to share selling skills that closed more deals than other more experienced, more seasoned, more knowledgeable salespeople.

I sold that point-of-sale business and purposely moved into car sales and from there to RV sales. What is significant is that I took those positions in communities where I had no ties, no background, no contacts. I chose those businesses and locations in order to prove what I had learned, the sales tips I studied, was duplicateable. It worked. In each, I moved to the top one percent.

How did I do it? I studied the champions. From selling basics to sales management; from Bob Burg to Joe Verde. Greats like David Allen, Michael Gerber, Jeffrey Gitomer, Tom Hopkins, Anthony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, and many others. I digested what they had to say into a profitable working system of strategic sales tips.

What's important is that it is all about sticking to the basics. And it starts right here, right now, with you. Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I am still in sales. All that you will find here is practiced daily, face-to-face, in the trenches.
